Rudy has over 30 years of Architecture, Construction, and Building Envelope Consulting experience. Rudy is a licensed Architect in Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii. His experience as an Architect and expert Building Envelope Consultant includes all phases of Commercial, Corporate, Medical, High Rise Remediation, Mixed-Use, Residential Single and Multi-Family, Condominiums, Senior and Low-Income Housing projects.
Rudy designs full building projects, provides peer review and design documents for a variety of Clients – all with the goal of improving the buildings performance and aesthetic. He is responsible for the direction and management during all phases of design and construction of new or remediated buildings.
For remediation design work, Rudy undertakes full building investigations, research and analysis of construction systems to determine the extent and/or reasons for damage. He provides appropriate and aesthetically pleasing designs for projects - from condominium renovations to adaptive re-use of historic buildings. In renovation work, the assembly of a very clear Scope of Repair Specifications and Construction Drawings are critical for a successfully built project. As a very involved Architect, Rudy works in concert with the Owner and Contractor team to complete projects with an attention to quality, schedule and budget.
As part of his design process, Rudy imparts his building exterior knowledge of known building failures to prevent future moisture intrusion concerns. His experience with new building construction and renovations includes comprehensive peer review at all phases of the architectural design process – from Schematic Design, Construction Documentation, Bidding and comprehensive Construction Field Reviews.
